This isn't a great case.
When I first put this case on my iPad I had trouble putting it on. The back is like a hard shell and quite stiff for an iPad. I had to press really hard to fit it, which normal cases don't do. I was so afraid I would scratch my iPad. I've been using this case for a few days now and the inner lid collects so much lint. Even if you think about using the Apple Pencil case and then put it in your case. it will not work. The Apple Pencil only needs to be bare to fit. Generally normal
