Review on Rapira Platinum Double Safety Blades by Kamil Campbell

Based on my Rimei and Baili soft razors I would say this razor is quite aggressive. Significantly higher blade load than I am used to. I have very coarse coarse facial hair but rather sensitive skin on the neck and upper lip so as you can imagine shaving can become a nightmare for me if the razor and blade are not properly matched. I love this razor but it takes a little getting used to. I would recommend going with less sharp, smoother blades like Derby or Big Ben first, unless you already know you can handle the combination of an aggressive razor with a very sharp blade. I originally ordered a Rapira Swedish Supersteel but it came with a bent sheath (which looked damaged in transit) so I sent it back. Also, this razor has a metal handle (zinc?) and the weight has been more balanced in relation to the handle. This razor is lighter overall and more balanced relative to the head, which I prefer. The head of both razors share the same tech-style design. The grip is good, although probably not as strong as a metal grip. I would have preferred to have a better grip, like a rougher, checkered finish like a plastic gun stock or something, but it does the job.
