Here is my review and why I gave this one five stars out of five;1. Odor is the problem with these memory foam products, they smell toxic like burnt plastic and antifungal spray. Nobody wants that smell in their bedroom, and of course you can't snuggle up and sleep with something that smells that bad. So my experience with memory foam is that it takes a very long time to air and outgas. But this wedge was ready for bed in just 24 hours! New record for me.2. Firmness - There's not much point in a wedge when it compresses to the thickness of a double Oreo, but it's firm enough to lift you off the bed and soft enough not to cause painful bruises on my skin. shoulder (I sleep on my side).3. The width is a wider wedge, and I figured that alone would make it more comfortable as I stopped rolling onto the non-elevated part of my bed. But it's the length that makes it really comfortable. It's long enough that my torso doesn't loosen at the end, and the gradual lifting makes my back feel better. I didn't even realize I had back pain until I woke up without it! This wedge isn't very high, so I don't lie very elevated next to my husband, who only uses regular pillows in bed. Also, it doesn't slip as much as my old wedge, probably because it's attached to my butt. Also, this wedge was very comfortable for my shoulder as I sleep on my side. I am pleased that there is no pillowcase for this wedge. The pillowcases I had for my old wedges (I have about five now) didn't fit so I wrapped my robe around them to use them, ugly but it helps.
