Review on Retevis Antenna Baofeng Kenwood Talkies by Khaled Ribeiro

I bought this item specifically because I was looking for a solid antenna for my work radio. This antenna is advertised as being able to bend a lot without breaking. This aspect of the product fits the bill - the wire part in the antenna appears to be very flexible - but this product doesn't work in the other department as the attached pictures show. I'm not a radio amateur and don't know the terminology, but the tip of this antenna completely fell off after two weeks of normal use. It looks like the "feather" aspect of the interior isn't even attached to the base to begin with. Pretty poor workmanship when the entire antenna is supported by a small elastic band. Due to its short length, I had no problems with the signal. Until it all fell apart, at which point my effective range became zero.
