I bought this for my miniature dachshund who is almost a year old. The sleeves were tight and only after struggling with the buttons were we able to zip up. It was very tight for a while (which made us laugh. Yes, we're mad.) before we took it off her. Should have ordered a medium size. The coat was needed immediately so we're just refunding instead of exchanging it. I believe a medium size will fit her snugly, if not a bit loose. Just understand that you may need to increase the size your dog would fit. It's a nice coat, apart from the size. Looks warm, the fabric feels nice and the construction seems pretty solid from what I can tell. If you're thinking of buying this for YOUR Dachshund, order a medium size, and also note that it only goes o mid-back, no further. y short coat length (another reason we chose not to just swap for a different size).
