Review on Acuvar 50-Inch Aluminum Camera Tripod: Sturdy and Versatile by Philip Anderson

Pro:1) Works with my iPhone 6 plastic case2) Can be used as a document camera (well, sort of). Because you need to spread the base to stabilize the tripod. So if you bend the phone holder 90 degrees, you will definitely lock the two legs on the screen. It's not ideal if you bought that tripod to turn your iPhone into a scanner (using the Scanner Pro app). But it would be ok to make a YouTube video. For this reason I'm deducting a star for the rating. 3) Yes, you can detach the phone holder and place your camera on it. 4) Comes with a carrying case and a cleaning cloth. The carrying case is definitely a plus to avoid scratching the tripod's aluminum legs. Not sure what you can do with a cleaning cloth. 5) Delivered pre-assembled. Easy to remove/install smartphone holder. Cons: 1) Doesn't look sturdy due to light weight; This is a double-edged sword. But as another pointed out, you get what you paid for. So don't expect a sturdy tripod that you can comfortably mount your $1,000+ Canon camera on. All in all a cheap tripod. I was planning to use it to shoot slow motion videos, so this tripod suits me. But for the most general use (YouTuber, Selfie etc.) it should be sufficient and I would definitely recommend it.
