Review on ๐ŸŽ’ SwissGear 5358424418 Large Heather Laptop Backpacks by Kayla Mccants

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great zippers, solid construction

First of all, why I was a one-star party animal: The zipper handles could do with some rubberizing so they don't click when they hit each other. But then again it's hard to find luggage with rubberized zipper handles, lately I've seen nothing but cheap looking bags with plastic zipper handles so I probably wouldn't give any backpack/laptop bag 5 stars. Otherwise, the design and the materials are great. The zips open and close with an ease I've never seen, even on the top of the YKK range. There are no storm flaps on the zippers, but the laptop compartment is mostly protected by an internal flap, so contents aren't likely to get wet in front of you. . Whatever the case, in the umbrella versus hood debate, the umbrella wins when it comes to peace of mind or when you're a restless wart in general. A slightly wider internal valve would make the user's job much easier. But here I am picky. At $75 it's a great value and probably a decent price at $99. The rear air channels feel deep enough to work if you're unfortunate enough to run in the August California heat. A 15" MacBook Pro fits great: a 17" would probably fit too, as the lack of negative reviews shows. Two 15" laptops would probably fit as well. As would a 17" and a 15" if you practice this. This backpack is even better than the Targus which I've worked extensively (with zips) on for 3 years, and probably the best overall backpack I've ever owned. It has new folds, the Targus doesn't have that fatigue issue after an overload, but still a solid 4 stars for the overall feel.
