I ordered this blanket before I had to go to the hospital for major surgery. I knew that when I was released I would be returning home and sleeping in an elevator chair for at least a month, and I wanted a blanket that would keep me warm when the family's AC was on (we live in Florida) and it always is was still cooler than ours, heavy winter blankets would permit. Finding a blanket that can be both warm and cool at the same time seemed like an impossible task, but this blanket fit the bill perfectly. Unlike the tight, dense weave you'll find in a heavy wool blanket, this item is woven from a large, loose weave. that lets air through. When I need extra warmth, I just fold the blanket in half and cover myself with it, but it's still light enough that I don't feel pinched underneath. In addition, the material is so super soft that I feel cozy and comfortable in it. This was truly God's message during my recovery and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to bring sweet comfort to themselves or a loved one during difficult times.
