cheap but doesn't hold up well

This product did the job for the most part, although I have to say that the cost of the ink was somewhat higher than the printer itself, although the price was right for what I used it for . One thing that really disappointed me about this printer is the difficulty of fitting traditional ink cartridges into it. I always use regular ink in my printers and didn't expect any problems with HP printers knowing I had experience with Lexmark printers. What happened is that when regular ink went into the printer, it gave an error message saying the ink had failed or it wasn't real ink. Printer companies like to think that regular inks will ruin printers, but in my experience that hasn't been the case unless they leak. everywhere, but hopefully you catch it before you stick it in the printer and do an RMA with the company that made the ink. paper goes. I'm not sure what happened, but when I had this printer in my dorm room, I came back from the program one day and found that the plastic part holding the paper had ripped off. I now understand that someone might have stumbled upon this, but knowing the people who have been in and out of this hostel I know there is no way they achieved anything by intentionally breaking off this part of the printer, but I think it could have been a little harder. All in all, this was certainly a passable printer for the price, but I wouldn't recommend this printer as your mainstay. The way I've been using it was only an emergency printer for a few months, and more than half a year or so would be astronomical in terms of ink replacements, and you might as well go with a more durable printer that doesn't use as much ink. and supports conventional ink cartridges much better.
