As I said, I'm not an audiophile. But this speaker serves its purpose. I wanted something to put next to me while showering loud enough to hear through the running water despite other product reviews. I think the size of the soul also plays a role. :) Showering in a full size bathtub with a plastic/latex curtain, FYI. Pairing is easy. Flicked the switch in the Bluetooth settings on the back and instantly paired with my iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1. Control: Remember that you control the volume from your phone.
