I bought this because my wrists were really starting to hurt from using the keyboard all day Keyboard used at work. What I have noticed is that the gasket is secure in the rest and looks good. I had one from a local major department store and I could actually move the padding under its cover. Make sure you measure your keyboard to get the correct length. I didn't think about it at first, but it's really important. My photo shows a large vs regular HP keyboard for size reference. I would like it to be 1/2 to 3/4 if it were an inch longer for my hand size (6'1" tall with a medium/large hand size) as it doesn't perfectly match the length of the keyboard. The base of the rest is more like rubber than silicone in consistency It stays in place when you use it but can be moved around very easily Smell: It had a slight rubber/oil smell from the rubber base I only notice it when I hold it 3" or closer to my face. If you are sensitive to smells this can be a problem. After a week of use the smell hasn't gone away, in general I'm happy with the purchase. It did what I needed and the price was very reasonable when i bought it.just write down the size you need for your keyboard and you are done.
