This works as described but a few words of caution: note that most AA batteries are currently 1.2v so they will NOT work (you will only hear a click). You need 1.5V AA batteries (most are disposable 1.5V batteries). There is a case on the back of the mummy which you open to find the battery pack and then unscrew the cover to insert the batteries. On the top of the battery pack is a switch that turns the mummy on and off. There's also an orange button next to the battery pack, but I'm really not sure what it does. Maybe he's switching the mummy from motion-activated to activated all the time? The mummy came in a box with no instructions or anything. Even if they printed some helpful tips on the back of the box, that would be helpful. But ultimately it works as advertised.
