We had to be careful that our ipad 2 didn't disappear at the fair. We took it overnight so we were just looking for a low security option and it was reasonably priced and worked really well. The kit included multiple inserts for a secure fit. Depending on how you attach the back brace, the shoe can be either horizontal or vertical. Even on the horizon. was stable. The cord was long enough to wrap around the table leg leaving room for the iPad to move around. Also, the cable wasn't too heavy to cause weight issues. If you are looking for real security then this device is not for you as it can easily break and break. That's unlikely to happen while you're standing there. The only downside was that you only have 1 corner in the horizontal position (vs. 3 in the vertical).
