I ordered this because I make snack bags that are two layers of fabric and two layers of vinyl. As for the seams, my feet have a hard time drawing a clean line across a seam without jumping and jogging. I am selling these bags so I needed a more professional finish. I learned this by watching a few tutorials on sewing jeans. They work very well. Not all my feet have a foot alignment feature for large seams, so this jig is perfect for that. I love it!
