Review on Wi-Fi router ASUS RT-AC66U, black by Hayden Noichuyen ᠌

Definitely not advise to buy, the product is disappointing.

It was revised A2 when I purchased it in December 2022, and now I'm scrambling to find someone who can serve as a substitute for it. Before to that, there was an incredible cell, and its name was the 3COM OfficeConnect Wireless 54 Mbps. resolutely slowed down and clung to that corbina, which represented an endless source of suffering. Because of one torrent, the entire network was brought to its knees, and all other devices were disabled. After that, I borrowed an Asus WL-500W from a friend for a week and then promptly purchased the exact same model for myself. It reached an all-time high. The very first router to conform to the N industry standard. I worked with the firmware that Oleg provided for a period of six years before deciding in 2022 that I needed something even speedier because the time had come for TVs to support full HD in addition to the most popular kind of 3D. After having the best possible experience with the earlier model, I decided to purchase the AC66u and planned to simply install it and then ignore it. And it became a never-ending dance with the firmware in order to restore them. I tried a few different official versions in the hopes that perhaps in a year they will get it fixed. The journey was repeated by Merlinovskie. Even after the power supply was switched out and the memory was updated, nothing worked, and the Wi-Fi dumps continued to exist. And the sense that one is getting better with each passing year. And at this point, it is unclear what steps to take in order to replace this.

Pros
  • Free dynAmazon right out of the box, which is a practical benefit in the end. But, despite plowing for a total of six years, he did not perish alongside the ends. The plethora of available firmware, Merlin can be found somewhere. The wired component has performed faultlessly for all of these years (4 ports are occupied).
Cons
  • -After two years, the firmware started to become unstable whenever there was a shutdown (even if it was only from the outlet), so manual restoration was necessary, and it's a good thing that I was there. Otherwise, family who do not have access to the Internet would have been forced to wait for a significant amount of time. - After one year, the first problems with Wi-Fi arose; while transmitting huge volumes of data, the transfer would become stalled, and the files would need to be resent. A year later, Wi-Fi networks started to become less reliable, which affected every gadget, every phone, and so on. In order to treat it, a move to a different range was performed manually (from 5GHz to 2.4 or vice versa). And now it enjoys the company of the void, where you won't be able to see it in the list of accessible networks unless you reboot the device first. My best guess is that it's due to the cooling system's overall poor quality.
