Review on ❄️ Unigear Leg Gaiters: Waterproof Snow Boot Gaiters for Outdoor Snowshoeing, Hiking, Hunting, Ice Climbing, Skiing by Jon Manning

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive but not recommended for serious mountaineering.

I urgently needed leggings for my forthcoming last trip to Mount Rainer. I used to consider hiring one from guides who recommended gaiters for outdoor exploration, but they cost the same as renting them, so I decided to take a chance after reading the positive reviews. I had few expectations: - right size to put on my two-layer plastic mountaineering boots - light and waterproof - tear-resistant as I will be using crampons. Below are my observations. who worked. However, I think if I had just ordered a size larger, it would have worked as well. I'm 5'6 140lbs athletic build with well proportioned calves, ordered the large (medium fits too). They were lightweight but felt flimsy right out of the box. In terms of durability, they are not intended for serious use as they ripped in many places in just one day of ascent. I'll upload pictures soon. I think they would be great for light snowshoeing or fat biking but not for a serious mountaineering adventure for a few days. Now I need another pair as a spare since they are made. ** If you found this review helpful don't forget to vote yes, it really helps me stay motivated and share more with the community **
