A few years ago we bought an L shaped sofa that had a section with two cup holders. Unfortunately, where I like to sit (Sheldon) are the cup holders on the opposite side. In addition, the outermost seat I sit on is close to where the carpet meets the hardwood floor and there is very little room for a table. This little gem comes in. It's the perfect height to use as a drink holder and has enough space to store the remote controls. I have four remote controls. I use the magazine holder on the bottom to hold my laptop and bluetooth headphones. It can also be used for books, magazines, etc. The item itself is very durable given its small size. We have a 55 lb dog and I had no problem letting him run around, flick his tail etc. Very easy to set up. I don't think it took me more than 10 minutes to unbox and assemble. The metal frame is solid and looks great, and the wood top has a very nice dark tone to match my hardwood floor. There are rubber feet that attach to the four bottom corners, so you don't have to worry about scratching the floor. All in all, this is a great thing for the specific space you're looking to fill.
