It had real potential. It just didn't work out the way I thought it would. The balls have the same bounce as legal basketballs. Here may be some of the problems with this product. The clear shield is good, but it's too flimsy and the weight of the included bullets makes the shield brittle. The flexible spring ring is a nice touch, but again, the back panel is too thin, resulting in too much flex. You will likely need to add a washer to tighten the spring. In the end I cut the styrofoam out of the packaging and glued pieces behind it to ensure the shield flexed a lot and had the base of the shield scraped down to add stability. In short: If the back wall were twice as thick and completely covered with foam, the rest of the materials would shine.
