Review on Thrustmaster TH8A Shifter (Compatible with PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC) by Steve French

Well this part was the most anticipated part of my entire setup and immediately it's a big boy. It's hefty and, as advertised, it's made out of lots of metal, which is a good thing. Connected without problems, works without complaints. The clamp is strong enough by the way to not need an extra hard mount like the rest of my setup. The tension screw is good, but it's odd that almost everything else in my setup has an Allen screw, including the circuit board screws, but that's about it. Oh, to be honest, for how easily accessible and adjustable it is. Now the only problem I had was that after the third day it just started shifting gears and eventually stopped registering and then reconnecting from time to time. After contacting Thrustmaster, I took it apart, looked at everything and put it back together. Nothing seemed to happen and after retesting everything worked fine. That something could break off and come into being again, like the earth, I can't throw the last star. But when it works, it's almost perfect. As for the shift knobs, it looks like aftermarket knobs will fit, but I haven't been able to find a suitable shifter. They all just slipped along the grooves.
