I have a Sony DSLR-A300. I bought this Tamron lens on the recommendation of some other Sony DSLR owners on the Steve's Digicams forums. At the time, a seller had them for $39. I couldn't get over it, especially after seeing the sample shots posted by users. I was not disappointed. The clarity of my photos is great and the colors look crisp and vibrant. Although it's not a macro lens (minimum focus is around 18 inches), I've taken many clear close-up shots with it. This is a film lens, but it works fine with Sony Alpha cameras. Tamron makes good lenses.
