My eyelashes and brows are light and it works much faster than the instructions say. According to the instructions I would have to wait a long time with this in front of my eyes, but it actually only took two to three minutes per eyebrow and eyelash. However, I went through the eyelashes twice. The tools provided make it very easy to apply directly to the lashes, avoiding contact with the eyes. It even comes with a small blender jar, which is very handy. All I needed from what wasn't provided was good fresh water and wet wipes to wipe off the product when it was done. The color itself looks brown right out of the pump containers and still looks brown after mixing, but it definitely gave my lashes a very dark shade that's almost black. I left it on my brows for just a minute and got a permanent dark brown. Very well paints over gray hair and completely paints over light blonde. Eventually something got in my eye and it stung a little, but it went away as soon as I dried my eyes well with cold water. When I finished, my eyes looked a little red, but that didn't last long. They bounced back quickly.
