This little washing machine is so much fun! I bought it to clean my beauty blenders and makeup brushes. I've noticed that you can't put large beauty blenders in it - like the ones that are bigger than an egg and are extra absorbent - because they get too heavy for the toy's motor. But my smaller one, a fairly standard size, worked perfectly and rotated regularly. All my brushes were cleaned perfectly. The only problem is the foundation brush. But I used my regular soap and cleaning pad on the rest of the product and found that the washing machine cleaned 80% of the base no matter what. Not bad for a toy! In addition, my child was happy to help me. (The soap I used was regular makeup brush soap, which I also ordered from Amazon, nothing special.)
