It is really very beautiful. It does not think, but not thin. That's a very good weight, but I wouldn't count on it in the Minnesota winter. The colors are very beautiful and bright. It's a good size for wrapping around and the thickness doesn't hinder its use for clothing or work. My office likes to keep the temperature in the meat cupboard range, so I always choose a cardigan and scarf to carry with me, and color matching is a must. This works well with some shades of green and brown, so it's a nice addition to the wardrobe.
