I was specifically looking for pillowcases that didn't feel like I was sleeping in a diaper. The product description keeps saying "breathable" but I just don't understand how. Yes, they are soft on the outside and plastic on the inside. After you zip up one of them and put a pillowcase over it, the following problems arise: 1. Once it is zipped up, it traps air and makes the pillow very troublesome to handle2. Loud like sleeping on plastic.3. Down pillows cannot be fluffed because of the cover. As the air escapes, it becomes more and more like a cake. I decided to leave them open, but still prefer to sleep on pillows without those covers. My main goal was to protect the pillows in my Airbnb, not weed out bed bugs. But I feel that these protectors compromise comfort, so I cannot recommend them.
