Finally a solution to find the lock(s) in the dark! After moving to a country house, it became obvious that when night came, DARK! The motion sensitivity is so good that the light will illuminate the lock as you approach the door before you start inserting the key. The brightness illuminates both the locks and the doorknob. And if I drop the keys, I can find them. Plugging in the flashlight isn't difficult, and as it's been running for almost five months now, there's no sign it's going to slow down. I can't comment on the effects of the rain as the place where it is installed is under a large covered porch. However, there are a few doors that are exposed to the weather. I'll comment on them when I get to the lights and give them time to wait for our heavy rains. Conclusion: This light solves the common problem of unlit door locks. Also, think outside the box. I put one in the mailbox so I can get mail at night or during the day. I bet you can think of other places where this light can solve the "unlit" problem.
