I've read elsewhere that people have tried these fan clutches only to try 3 or 4 of them before finding one that works. I bought one of these for my '98 Dakota and haven't had any problems so far. I'll say that when it's cold it's blocked and will go a mile or two before shutting off. UPDATE: Having experienced the hottest July here in STL (2012) I have to say this fan clutch worked great. In 100 plus heat the air con works and stops and traffic goes on, no overheating issues. It fires earlier than standard fire, but that's okay, it did what it was supposed to.
