Something very good, something not so good

Every purchase of vintage items often means repairing jewelry yourself. Most of this set is very comfortable, but I can see where the cost has come down. The jewelry pliers are really good and the calipers are just disposable plastic pliers. The awl is good - very sharp - although a hole of a certain size is often required, so knowing its size would be useful. I don't find the 'thimble' ring itself useful, so it would be another one-time use item. Scissors - much ado about nothing if a pair of safety scissors is fine - and I would replace one of the tweezers. for traditional seam ripper or precision blade. I'm not sure, if someone needs three needle threaders. And a test tube for storing needles? And many long needles that are always difficult to access? Genius. The accessory boxes are also mixed, but include jump rings (and a very handy jump opener), clasps, hooks, spacer beads, safety pins, and some decorative beads that I found optional but others would like. At first it seemed like a few small accessories were moving through the box dividers, but I'm guessing there wasn't even a lot in each category. Copper, gold, silver and elastic cord is very convenient. There's definitely more good than bad, but I wouldn't give it away without a little effort first. Some items are wrapped in plastic so when I opened the box it looked a little bandaged to me, and it had to be reinstalled and unpacked first. There'
