Review on πŸ“± LapGear Ergo Pro Laptop Stand - Lap Desk with 20 Adjustable Angles, Mouse Pad, Phone Holder - Black - Fits 15.6 Inch Laptops & Most Tablets - style No. 49408 by Greg Mahoney

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Used lying on couch, recommended

This item is pretty good for what it is and the price. Can't give 5 stars because it squeaks, feels and looks cheap and the mouse pad is at an odd angle. The lower cushions already give the lap table a slight angle. I end up just using a small laptop stand to tilt the keys even more. There is a latch that folds out to keep the laptop from sliding off. This part could be a bit bigger, but it has a rubbery texture that prevents the laptop from sliding on it. There is no fall protection with the mouse pad, although the plastic frame is slightly raised. This prevents the mouse from falling completely, but my mouse behaves erratically at the angle I place the table at when the mouse isn't held down. He could use a mouse cable clamp and maybe some kind of "parking lot". Anyway, I just turn my mouse upside down when I don't need it. I've been buying desktops for a while and haven't seen any others that match the feature set of this one. I saw this at a higher price that would be hard to swallow given the quality but I'm happy with what I paid. I would pay more for higher quality materials/finishing but this one does the job!

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
