I currently have seven different types of Bluetooth headphones that I have bought for my iPhone over the years, but this is my first pair of open-ear headphones. I didn't really think they would work well, but I was pleasantly surprised. After a few hours of use, they've quickly become my go-to headphones for any situation where I don't need noise-cancelling (mowing the lawn, using blowers, etc.). They are EXTREMELY comfortable - probably the most comfortable headphones I've ever had. I usually wear the headphones for several hours every day when working in the garden, playing sports or doing other household chores. I use 98% of spoken language - podcasts, periscopes, YouTube videos and recorded books. They are PERFECT for this use! If I spent most of my time listening to music these wouldn't be my go-to headphones as the bass is relatively weak compared to many of my larger in-ear headphones. When I changed the music equalizer setting to "Bass Booster" on my iPhone, they are definitely good for music but not great. However, they are ideal for colloquial speech. They feel very solid because the wire that wraps around your head is relatively thick compared to some of my other headphones. There's only one conveniently located button, so there's no confusion when turning the headphones on and off or answering a phone call. The same button is used to start and stop music, podcasts, etc., which is very convenient. The volume is controlled by your mobile phone, not the headphones. I didn't see a microphone in my headphones so my wife called me to see if it could work as a headset for making phone calls. We pressed a button to answer her call and we were both blown away by the sound quality in both directions. Thanks to the open-ear design, these can be great headphones for jogging, driving or cycling because you still need to hear traffic noise. It was a great purchase!
