Very easy to install on top of my office. It's been holding up well for a few days. I thought it would be fun to put up lanterns that I could leave out year round. The light is very bright but can be dimmed. However the app is terrible and I spent 20 minutes trying to get it to accept that I want to change the color this morning. I'd really like to examine the strips I was planning to buy a little more closely. I guess it's my fault for assuming that a fancy light bar with an app to control it would have the ability to customize the blinking lights. You have to choose a color and stick to it. I tried setting up a schedule using the 'Scenes' feature but it took forever to set up two small temporary scenes and then they wouldn't turn off. I've tried removing them and they're still there, so now I'm worried about the light bar coming on and staying on when nobody's in the office. I might just need to turn it off if I'm away before the weekend. I would just rip them off and return them, but it was too late to return the measurements (I bought them a few months ago before measuring my table). and last week decided to order 4 extensions) so just thinking I will use the single light feature, hopefully with the color chosen for the relevant holiday and when/when I no longer work in this office I will take it off and stick them under my closets at home for extra lighting. Please GE fix your app to relieve some of the frustration of buying so many!
