This is a good pair of boots for an elegant occasion. I think they're too shiny for everyday wear, but very fashionable with a good pair of skinny jeans. My son wears size 1.5-2. I ordered size 2 and they run a bit large. Not necessarily wide, just too long. He wanted to wear it for the Christmas show but I was afraid it would fall off because it was too loose. The sole was rubber and non-slip, seemed very durable. The only downside was that it had wrinkles after trying it on and pacing the room to see if it fit. If I ordered a smaller size he would wear it without hesitation.
