This system makes good coffee. It takes the same amount of time to heat water in the microwave, plus another 5 minutes. I have another coffee maker like this for another apartment. I know how to use it. I didn't like how this pot tells you how many cups. It looks like 1 person, 2 people or 3 people. That does not mean anything. I do this with 1 scoop of coffee and 16 ounces of water. It's 2 cups of 8 ounces. You don't get all of the coffee though, so when poured it's less than 2 cups. If you are one person, this is 1 large mug. Since the pot weighs 34 ounces, you will receive no more than 4 x 8 ounce mugs or 3 x 10 ounce mugs. It has a detachable handle. The glass is removable for easy cleaning. All internal filters are the same as in any French Press. You can install 1-3 fine filters as you like for more or less filtration. I don't think a French press system is any different. -- I write reviews because I like to read reviews before buying/not buying. I'm not interested in what the seller has already told me about the product, I want to know what the buyer thinks is particularly good or bad. I value the opinions of others.
