Good for keeping contents hot, WD-40 bad Smelly

Ordered one from Revain who shipped it quickly. I added hot water, waited about 20 hours, opened the lid and it's still hot enough. I was happy with that. Then I smelled WD-40 out of a can. I checked carefully and found that this is due to the black rubber gasket and the gasket sits on top of the plastic cover. I washed it twice with hot water, it got much better but the smell stayed. I think I need to rinse it with hot water at least 2 more times to completely get rid of the WD-40 smell.
