I bought this skirt in size 7/8 for my 7 year old daughter. We have a hard time finding skirts that fit around her waist and cover her knees. Other skirts either cover the knees and are too loose, or fit perfectly around the waist but are too short. This skirt was perfect at the waist (the waist also has a bit of stretch) and fell just below mid-calf. So she can wear it for a while. The skirt is flowy enough to be easy and comfortable for play and cycling. I wish this skirt came in more colors and prints!
