The markings can be deleted - Accessories for sports and outdoor activities

Pros: * Slightly cheaper than a trusted brand * Nordic dots Cons: * Marking fades and becomes unreadable * Feels cheap, looks like it's about to break any minute I got this as a Christmas present for my daughter last year . I wanted to give her something high quality that would last, not cheap junk. Buying expensive branded items can be successful or unsuccessful. Sometimes it's worth paying more for a trusted brand, and sometimes a cheaper competitor is just as good or better. I took a chance with this cheaper compass but in this case this cheaper competitor is NOT as good as my old Silva compass. This compass looks cheaply made. It works fine and points north and that's it, so it works but it doesn't rotate smoothly and it looks like the compass is about to fall out of the baseplate at any moment. Worst of all, after a year of accidental use, the grade numbers fade or fade and soon become unreadable. I do not recommend this product as more than a toy. For serious reconnaissance, use something better.
