Review on ๐Ÿงฝ Large Silver Stainless Steel Sink Caddy Organizer for Kitchen - Joseph Joseph 85112 Surface Sponge Holder, Tidy Drainage of Water by Ronnie Dunn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Keeps water inside. The sponge immediately smells of swamp water.

When I first bought it, my husband and brother (who lives with us) complimented me and gave me points. I also bought a nice brush and soap dispenser and looked carefully for one that would fit in the cube. The sink looked neater and more organized. Within 3 days my sponge started smelling even though it was fairly new. Within 2 weeks my new bamboo scrubber (prettier and more expensive than its plastic cousins) had mold on the handle. The problem lies in the design of the floor. There is a slight indentation between the sponge pad and the area where the soap sits, so the water actually drains back into the canister even when your feet are dangling over the edge of the sink. Our solution was to glue one of my son's Lego caves to the bottom to give it a slight angle to allow it to drain. It worked, but the soap leaned forward a bit and the rubber feet couldn't do their job anymore. This setup lasted about a week before my son accidentally pushed it down the sink while trying to get soap out and then the tip broke on my new soap dispenser, which was already on my naughty list because the lid was screwed on. The $45 spent cleaning the sink was a complete waste of money.
