Review on Stay on Top of Baby Care with Motorola MBP161TIMER Digital Audio Baby Monitor with Timer Functionality by George Thorson

This was bought for us as a shower gift. The parent unit never charged so we had to make sure the parent unit was always plugged in for it to work; which was fine for an overnight stay but impossible to do things like laundry or other chores while the baby was sleeping. I called customer service, they said they would send me a new battery; he never arrived. Meanwhile, the parent and baby units began randomly shutting down; even though both devices are on and plugged into the wall. After waiting 6 weeks for the battery, I called customer service back; They offered me a new device, however I first had to send them the broken device back (leaving me completely without a baby monitor; semi-functional is better than nothing) or they sent me a new one but blocked my $150 credit card until they mine return broken monitor but save $150 after 28 days; Also, given their current reputation for on-time delivery, I'm not inclined to let them charge my credit card. While Motorola's quality is generally a brand I trust, they have lost my trust as a consumer and I would caution against purchasing their products.
