In order for light to be refracted evenly and consistently through an object, that object must have no defects throughout its composition, otherwise it will distort the bandwidth of light and cause the visible spectra within individual Wavelengths can be wavy and curved. Through the acrylic triangle I get three bright reflections of white light from each source, and if you're lucky and in a dark enough place to find it, there's also a fuzzy spectrum that's not even decipherable due to distortion.
