Compared to the cheaper massage gun WILLIKE

There are so many massage guns on the market that it can be difficult to choose. Prices range from low to extreme. You might think the more expensive the better. In some cases it can. For me personally, this is the third massage gun I own and the most expensive of the three. However, this is still lower compared to options like Theragun PRO (ASIN: B086Z5YL9Q), which retails for $600. A WILLIKE massage gun (ASIN: B088F35LML) that sells for around $60. That's less than half the cost of this Mynt model. I have to ask myself if this Mynt is worth the extra price. I'll provide the details below, but my conclusion isn't really the same. It's a good massage gun, but it doesn't offer anything different than a cheaper model. ### Case ### First the case. They are generally similar, but the WILLIKE is slightly better as (1) you can leave the head attached when storing the weapon whereas the Mynt requires you to remove the head to make the weapon fit. (2) The WILLIKE body is shaped to be permanently attached and better positioned. While Mynt uses foam. Sure, the foam offers good fall protection, but it can get annoying when you try to draw the weapon. It doesn't stay firmly in place. ###Tips###WILLIKE offers six heads while Mynt only has 4. I really think Mynt heads are better quality and the rubber tips/surface are better for applying pain gels. (e.g. China Gel or Icy Hot). But it lacks a more pointed tip for acupuncture-like pressures - for example, deep tissue, meridian joints, palms, soles, etc. Even the smallest head of the Mynt has a rounded tip, not a pointed one. ### Charging/Battery ### When it comes to charging I prefer Mynt as it uses a more modern USB-C connection and also has a wall charger with a USB-C cable to connect. While WILLIKE uses a special wall charging cable, which is difficult to replace if lost. However, WILLIKE has a large 2500mAh battery versus the 2000mAh on the Mynt. Personally, I don't see much of a difference, other than that the more expensive model actually has a smaller battery. Another thing to note is that the Mynt doesn't have a battery indicator to show how charged it is. All it does is flash red when the battery is low, but that's not as useful as an indicator that shows when its life is half empty so you can charge it ahead of time. Instead, you have to guess before it's too late. Although WILLIKE has a battery indicator that shows 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% charge, I found that it was not working properly. In my opinion, both have room for improvement in this area. ### Memory / Controls ### To turn it on, you both need to hold the button down for a few seconds. Nobody has a memory, which annoys me a little. In most cases I want the same high settings and want the device to remember where I left it when I turn it off and on again. Instead, I have to start at the lowest setting and push the button until I get back up to high. Of course, this isn't a problem for the Mynt as the button presses work better (less fussy) and there are only 3 speeds and 2 modes to toggle through. While the WILLIKE has 9 speeds and two modes for cycling and pressing too fast, the mode switches when I just want to increase the speed. digital control. Plus, it always remembers the previous setting and is quick and easy to set up. However, I don't recommend Booster because it's very, very loud. Which is killer to me. Which brings me to the next section: ### Noise level ### I measured the highest noise level from Mynt at an average of 60dB (which is rated as 'spoken' in the dB chart). The WILLIKE noise level approached 70 dB (stress rating). Both aren't really too loud in my opinion, but the Mynt has a slightly quieter edge. ### Shutdown ### I'm not sure how to classify this section. Basically, when you turn off the massage gun, it takes some time for the head to stop moving. WILLIKE stops the movement in less than a second. But for some reason Mynt takes a good 4 seconds. I find this annoying because I want to put it in right now but have to wait. To me, that's a blow to Mynt. No idea why it takes longer to stay still after disconnecting.###Construction###I would say the build quality is equally good on both. The biggest difference is that Mynt weighs 718.2 grams while WILLIKE is slightly heavier at 795.5 grams. Another difference is that the WILLIKE has rubber handles and grips, while the Mynt is made entirely of hard plastic. I personally like rubber grips as the hard plastic can become slippery when you sweat while working. They're about the same size. I am confused by the Mynt product photo which shows it is 0.85" high and 0.61" wide. mmm Not correct. It's much larger: 8.5 inches high and 6.14 inches wide. Apparently they added "0". for some strange reason at the beginning of the measurements. Keep that in mind when you order as I was expecting a little less than what I received. ### Conclusion ### If you've read this far, you've seen my pros and cons for this device. In the end I think it works well overall and I'm happy to give 4 stars. I think for the price you can get something just as good and cheaper. Ultimately, they do pretty much the same thing, so it often comes down to small details and what works best for you. I for one find these massage guns effective for treating pain and my wife loves them for relieving leg cramps. I'm still looking for the perfect block at the best price. But you could do worse than this mint. I like that it's easier to manage than WILLIKE. It just comes out more than twice the price.
