Contains added sugar. Dogs love it but causes uncomfortable gas and diarrhea

At first glance, this grain-free chicken and venison recipe should be a good choice for my dogs. The first ingredients are chicken, chicken broth, sweet potatoes, venison (venison), green beans, and then sugar. I'm not at all sure why sugar is needed, especially when yams are already naturally sweet and can negatively impact a diabetic dog on their own without the addition of extra sugar. open - I also appreciate that easy-to-open tongue. You can see real green beans, small pieces of orange yams, shredded white chicken, and darker cuts of meat that look like venison. (See photos) There is no bad smell and it definitely has the consistency of stew and gravy. I've added about a quarter can of water to three of my dogs' meals over the course of two nights just as a mix in a topper. All three liked it and ate it with pleasure. The first night all three had terrible gas for an hour. This is a noticeable and unusual problem as my dogs don't usually get smelly gas very often. Your digestive system works very regularly and steadily. Same thing tonight, an hour after dinner. A disgusting, smelly gas of all three. Two dogs that don't eat Nature's Recipe food don't have this problem. In addition, one in three people now has an upset stomach. I will not feed this to any of my five dogs again. Something is wrong here. This is the third Nature's Recipe product I've tried this month and two out of three were questionable for my packaging. Update - 24 hours after the second meal and two of the three dogs (who ate 1/4 can). all 2 times) still have real diarrhea.
