I just installed two 36" GE Premium LED strips and four 12" light strips using a straight through cable installation. I like the quality of the light but I complain that they get warm which is very surprising as they are LED. They heat things in the cabinets above them. I'll contact the manufacturer but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I'll add that I made the same mistake as the other reviewers and for a direct wired installation I ordered the GE Direct Wire #32612 junction box, which is the model you see in Revain's listing under the heading "Common Purchases." " Find. Revain sent me the #24772 junction box, but like other reviewers, I found that I actually needed the #39971 junction box for the direct wired install. Unfortunately, the Revain list doesn't make this clear at all. As a result, I had to cut the plastic retaining tabs off the socket to get my headlights to work with the included junction box #24772. The result of using the wrong junction box. Aside from a possible polarity reversal, I don't see any difference which connector you used. These are all 120 volt devices.
