The long strap broke while I was carrying my dog, she fell to the ground with a thud

I bought this bag for my 10 lb Yorkie Toby. I really liked it when I first got it. Shipped quickly, well packaged. Well ventilated. The straps seemed strong. You can wear it with wrist straps or attach a shoulder strap. And the most important. Toby seemed to like him immediately. The day before I left. I took Toby to the vet and walking down the street less than ten minutes later the shoulder strap broke. She fell to the ground with a thud from my shoulder. She wasn't hurt, she was just surprised, as was I. The hardware attaching the shoulder strap broke so I had to carry it by hand. She's not a heavy dog, but I've carried other things as well. That's why the shoulder strap was so useful. However. I replaced the strap because the hardware on the original strap broke. What I loved about this bag was that it could stick its head out. In flight she was very calm, but sometimes she was nervous and stuck her head out, wanting to crawl onto my lap, but since she had to stay on the floor under the seat in front of me, she could always see me, and I could always just see hers Massage my head if I wanted to. This calmed her, and eventually she lay down and rested again. For this reason alone I leave the bag where it is. My concern is that the strap is useless and the hardware on the bag is cheap. I suggest getting a higher quality bag that your pet can stick their head out of, but the materials are durable. This interruption could have been tragic if I had been on the platform or escalator. I give 2 stars for this very reason.
