I rode just over 100 miles in an Osprey vest with these bottles. 1. The bite valve is working properly. In response to those who say the flow rate is too low; Try biting down a little harder and squeezing the bottle as you drink. I believe this results in a good flow rate. 2. I don't use valve extenders, don't find them necessary for drinking on the go, and don't want them near my face. 3. I keep bottles in my vest pocket and hold them when I drink. To this day I have not noticed a leak in the valve or a broken seam. 4. A design element I LOVE: The screws on the lids are OVAL. This means the short brim of a baseball cap is less likely to cut into your pecs as you run. Smart move. Assuming they last another 2 months I'll buy a spare pair. The last thing I need is to do a split the day before the event.
