Review on 🌞 Stay Fresh All Summer with Degree Clinical Antiperspirant Deodorant - 1.7 oz by Jennifer Hulett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product that needs improvement

Really 3.5 stars because although this antiperspirant/deodorant seems to work a little better than other 'clinical' products I've tried it certainly doesn't stop me from sweating anywhere near (as reportedly happened to some happier reviewers). It also has some SERIOUS downsides: - As other reviewers have pointed out, the smell is VERY strong. It does go away after a while, but I have no idea why the manufacturer overloads the product with fragrance (because fragrance is not the active ingredient and more of it improves the product's performance). Also, the whole point of a super-powerful antiperspirant is to keep sweating (and therefore odor) at bay in the first place, NOT just covering it up with scent. The problem I've had with ALL the ones I've bought is they LICK the scent! Literally clear and heavily flavored liquid periodically oozes out of small holes at the bottom of the device. I bought 5 of these deodorants in 2 different scents and ALL units have expired so this appears to be a product/design flaw and not an issue with the formula. I've dealt with this by simply holding the deodorant on a piece of folded paper towel to catch occasional leaks, but it's still annoying because sometimes when I turn the wheel to get more deodorant, a drop or two of the dripping liquid on my hand. If I don't stop and immediately wash the area with soap and water, my hand will smell like deodorant for hours. It costs more than similar products, but a stick lasts quite a while and I usually buy it on subscription, so the extra discount helps. The price also varies quite a bit so I sometimes buy 2 when the price is really low, but once it hits $7 I can't justify spending that amount on a moderately effective deodorant. - I tried both deodorants. The scents are Sheer Powder and Summer Strength, neither of which I particularly like. Since I don't have a particular preference, I usually only buy the cheapest scent to maybe try other scents in the future. I usually prefer a cleaner, more refreshing scent to heavy florals and powdery ones, so I'd definitely check out Shower Clean if it wasn't consistently the most expensive scent around. No matter how aromatic they are, trying ANY new fragrance is a gamble because if you try one and hate it, you'll be stuck on whether to either tolerate it until the deodorant runs out, or throw it out when you really can't . tolerate.
