Looks decent, works well, but too many poorly executed parts - and who wrote this listing?

Wow, that's a confusing list. The title says 12 watts, the details say 20 watts and 2400 lumens and the packaging says 19.6 watts and 1200 lumens. It also looks like it has a wrapped diffuser in the picture, but it doesn't - just the bottom bezel. And the product description says it's flush mount, even though it's obviously surface mount. The only precise spec is the 4K color temperature, which feels right - a very cool white, but not quite bluish. It's a little tricky to align this with an existing overhead electrical box as an upgrade as it has a limited turning range. regarding the position of the screws in the box, especially if you attach it to the box with 2 screws (if it was round it wouldn't matter but it's not round). In addition, the LED power supply is positioned inside the fixture to cast a shadow onto the diffuser at one end of the fixture, as the LEDs are mounted on a strip placed in the center of the metal body (i.e. at the bottom of the body). the case proceeds). and just above where it connects to the electrical box). Inserting screws into my ceiling allowed me to install this, but you really don't have to for such a small light fixture. Since the diffuser is not rounded, the light output is abruptly interrupted at a 90 degree angle. So if (like me) you want to light up the top shelf in a pantry, this isn't exactly the case. This is used to replace a 24" twin tube fluorescent light bulb and it's an improvement in light output, color, plus (almost) instant turn on and it's relatively attractive but it's not worth the $50 in any way, for which it is sold from 11/2015.

Pros
  • ceiling lights
Cons
  • boring packaging
