Sometimes it's hard to find baby hats with a chin strap so I ordered this set. Hat and mittens are definitely warm enough! I use different types of mittens to play in the snow because they are not waterproof. The hat's chin strap sometimes covers my son's mouth, but that doesn't seem to bother him. In fact, his face can get warm that way. I would buy this set again. I like the bright green color.
