Honestly, I didn't know what to expect for less than $200. Everything came as it should and it took me a day to assemble and connect all the cameras. It took me a few more hours to get all the angles right and move one of them to a different location. After getting it working it took me quite a while to figure out how to get it working and record it. The main unit measures approximately 12 x 12 inches and everything connects well. It comes with a 1 terabit hard drive and is easy to format and burn. One thing I would like to say to everyone is that the default image resolution settings are retained. If you try to go higher than the camera can handle, it will reset and start over. I hooked it up to an old TV with an HDMI port and it stays on right above my computer desk all the time. My biggest concern was the quality of the camera. Honestly, I don't think they're 720p cameras. If you try to make the picture big, the picture will be a bit blurry and unstable. Not the kind of instability that would render it unusable, but if you've been watching 720p video it's a lot better than that. But other than that, the quality is a lot better than the old systems you've been using and for the money worth it The biggest plus of this system is night vision. That, to me, is where this system really shines. The camera switches to black and white when it gets too dark and the images aren't great, but better than anything I've seen on any of my work systems. They show about 20 meters in total darkness and although the image is a bit grainy you can still make out what's moving there. I can even see my dog going about her business: the tranquility of this system is worth every penny. We had several predators before we started messing with our plumbing lines and that's why we bought this device. If they ever come back, they'll have a safe trip, three meals a day and a cot. Also just a note. The connections to the camera are strong, but trying to tighten the locking clip by twisting the camera body breaks the connection. So don't be tempted. Grab a couple of channel locks and hold the camera in place, then tighten the retaining ring, not very tight but neatly. You can thank me later :)
