Pre-wound bobbins are the way to go and they have a strong thread that matches star cotton thread. I bought some Superior prewound bobbins from a local store: the thread is very thin and breaks easily, resulting in blunt tension due to the different weights of the threads. I quilt a lot on my Pfaff and these bobbins are the best.
