This is the perfect flat table. It literally took 5 minutes to assemble: place the base on the floor, insert the vertical pole, place the top on the pole and rotate until the cutouts align. There are no tools. There's no room for error. The table is lightweight, very easy to move, but stable and durable. The X's base is well sized to prevent tipping over, while still allowing chairs/stools to slide underneath easily without hitting your knees. 30" diameter and 30" tall - perfect size for my small kitchen nook with 2 rectory chairs. It also works well as a 42" tall bar table with 3-4 small diameter stools. The top isn't very attractive when open, but the tablecloth easily solves that problem. Love this table.
