Review on Manfrotto 026 Lite Tite Umbrella Adapter by Nick Henning

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made and flexibly positionable

I needed a different umbrella mount and Manfrotto 026 ended up in my mailbox. The official name is Manfrotto 026 Swivel Lite-Tite Umbrella Adapter. With such an awkward nickname, I figured this must be good! I installed it on a Manfrotto 1052BAC and it held my 43" Westcott umbrella and Yongnuo LED YN300 like a champ. The adjustable tilt was firmly fixed and did not drift. The shade's mounting hole is angled at 25 degrees, making it easier to center the light in the shade compared to horizontal holes. Each axis lock has a different shape, allowing the controls to be distinguished by touch or visually. It also makes an excellent elbow or swivel for extension arms, flags, etc. Two brass grommets are included to allow it to be mounted on light stands, tripods and Super Clamp. The mic stands are 5/8 inch so they can be used to convert mic stands or lighting stands. The cold shoe isn't included, but the stroboframe mount is the best I've had (has a lock so the flash wins). don't slip). However, many flashes and video lights have a 1/4" socket and can be screwed directly onto the hub. , muscular build and more flexible positioning. It's definitely worth the extra fifteen shekels for this Italian-made beauty.
